Weight reduction of Mini 2 down to 212g = 4 minutes more air time.

Love this experiment, someone With a 3D printer could probably reduce half the weight and retain a finished look. I understand Dji not wanting to produce fragile drones though, I imagine a crash would result in much more damage with these parts removed… but probably could build an even sturdier design with less weight with some type of cage cover with celephane for water resistance
 
Thinking of an 3d printed new enclosure for the battery of the mini 2.

Could someone make a new case, that simply had front, back, and sides covered.
Just like on the edges..

This could make the battery still fit properly, without it sliding around inside the body.
It could be printed with less to none % infill, make it less heavier than the orginal top and bottom cover.

Unfortunately I don't have 3d writing/making skills.
But i do have a 3d printer, so I could test fit any makes, if someone could make' a fit and try :) ;)

I also took apart one of my batteries for testing.
