Hi, I'd need some advice on recharging Air 2 batteries while backpacking.
I have a big power bank for my other electronics, wondering if a solar panel will be worth it or not really feasible unless setting up a permanent camp.
I think that unfortunately even the USB battery adapter does not allow both ways but only one-way charging (using an Air 2 battery to charge other things, while I'd like to do the opposite).

Thank you

There are no simple or really good solutions.

Carrying a solar panel and the associated hardware for charging just isn't really practical for backpacking. It's large, inconvenient and requires prolonged good exposure to the sun, not easy when backpacking.

The best option from a weight standpoint is additional drone batteries. The drone's batteries provide the highest energy-to-weight ratio you can get. Any other storage medium, like a power bank, involves additional hardware and involves efficiency losses.

A less expensive, but slightly less effective, alternative is a small lithium battery with a 12V USB charger and a USB C cable to connect to the drone for charging. The Air 2 batteries have a capacity of about 3.5 amp-hours. You can get a 10-AH lithium battery for about $40 that would provide three+ charges on batteries flown down to 25% charge. A 10-AH lithium battery weighs about 2-1/4 pound. So with some wiring and a 12V USB charger, the weight would be less than three pounds.

If you don't want to fuss with creative wiring, you can buy a cigarette lighter style socket with leads to connect to the battery.
