whilst in lockdown in New Zealand it was forbidden for any type of recreational aircraft to fly and that was extended to drones and all model aircraft
This was mainly to stop the need for first responders like police ,fire, ambulance to have to interact with anyone unless absolutely necessary
And to stop you the drone flier from needing to go and recover their drone that may possibly crash into another person or have a return to someone else's property as this would mean breaking the rules around lockdown and isolation
This was advised on the civil aviation website during lockdown here and as a notam
