What controller should I get for my Birthday?

Hello all,

I have a birthday coming up, and the Mrs asked “What would you like for your Birthday? Something for your drone perhaps?

So I need your input.

I’m thinking about getting the original Smart Controller which, if I’m correct is now compatible with my Mavic Air 2?

I have been finding it difficult to see my mobile phone screen in the harsh Aussie sun even with a hood. Or should I wait for DJI to possibly include compatibility for my MA2 with the RC Pro. Big difference in cost however?

I have a MA2 and M2P and use the SC for both . I'm in Vegas ,NV And the SC in bright sunlight is ok i still get refection off the screen. I was using a Ipad and it was ok . It's easier to set up and fly with the SC. Good Luck and HaPPy DAy!

I see that the Original Smart Controller is no longer in production. (My guess is that it is not recognized by FAA for remote I.D. ) DJI is offering the DJI RC controller (that came with my Mavic 3 Classic for an additional $306) Unsure of the compatibility with your Air 2, however, I really like it. I had a distance max out at 4.7 miles along the coast.
