Tell me what you think of this video. I tried some new things to try to make it more entertaining. Let me know how far you get and if you get bored. I'm trying to improve on my story telling. I hope you enjoy.

I made it to about 3:20 before I turned it off. There wasn't anything I particularly disliked...it might just the time of day and my current mood. Saw your message above, and decided to watch it all the way through.

Since you were asking for feedback, here are some "likes" and constructive criticism:
--You certainly had a great and exotic subject to film!
-- I enjoy shots of the countryside and culture.
-- I enjoyed some of the humor expressed in your video.
-- The scorpion scene was a quite entertaining.
-- Some of your earlier shots were a bit "shaky". My first though was that you need a stabilizer, but then other shots weren't quite as unsteady. Not sure if it was just the editing process or something else... Perhaps the use of different cameras?
--In this video, I might have focused less on your family, and more on your interaction with Thailand. Just a personal preference. The interactions with your family were certainly interesting for the most part... I would just prefer to see more of Thailand...that is what draws me to travel vlogs and videos.
-- Some of the "live" narration was a bit garbled. The sound wasn't horrible, but an external microphone might have been helpful. Enunciation is also important, especially where you are trying to tell a story. I didn't notice the same issues with your "Voice-over" narration.
-- The scorpion scene might have been even more entertaining and had more impact, if there was a build up... showing your trepidation before he actually put them on your arm... an explanation before hand about your fear of creepy crawly things.
-- In my opinion, drone shots are not a feature in and of themselves, They are just one more method of telling your story. If nobody thinks about the fact that you shot something with a drone, 360 camera, DSLR, etc, you are doing your job when telling the story. I wouldn't draw attention to why you didn't take a shot...or the fact that you are about to... the shot should just be a natural extension of your story and the edits from various cameras should make it flow seamlessly. Talking about the process of filming, takes away the focus on the narrative of your story.

Great vid. Kids will treasure this in years to come. How was it flying in Thailand? This reference says you need a permit and that punishment could be steep.

This is awesome! Thanks. Yes we have gimbals but don't always use them plus a variety of cameras. I did think about all the things you mentioned. Sound is a big issue right now for me and won't be able to solve it for a bit. but you are correct I have to. :) Again thanks!

Thank you! It was fine flying in Thailand. You do need a permit or you can face jail time and a huge fine.
