hi,
i'm a fairly recent Mavic Mini pilot and photographer. yesterday i had a bad RTH experience [1] and it's a bit banged up but does appear to have a gimbal problem now (it can't move apparently) so i'm about to use my DJI Care and i'm wondering what i should expect.
i live in two cities 15h apart by car (i haven't flown since march because i think it's unethical to do so in my circumstances), and my next travel plan is that this saturday i'll be at my other place for six weeks, and i'm hoping that's enough time for a turnaround?
it also isn't clear if there will be any additional cost for my repairs.
the fuselage partially separated upon impact, it snapped back together. the battery button isn't seared precisely either. arms and propellers are fine which is pretty amazing when you watch my crash.
get some popcorn and schadenfreude! the video captures the magic of my panic. i need to rehearse the maneuver to pull the thumbsticks in to cut the motors because i could have fallen 4 feet on the balcony and probably caught it, or i could have had it drop 20ft to grass. instead it barreled into a tree and aimed itself into a hard impact on the street and under a car ??
more photos attached.
