What res/fps HQ/FOV You use on Your M2P?

I hate fiddling around during flights - I have done some testing a year ago chose FOV 4K 29.97 fps 10 bit Dlog-M and use it for a year now.
But recently I was tempted for some fast-paced flying and 30 fps was not enough so I tried 2.7K 60 fps - Much better on fast panning!!! But during tests was astounded by the HQ vs FOV 4K quality difference (thou HQ is too narrow for my taste)


So In what resolution/fps/fov combination You shoot Your clips mostly?

Mine is very simple. 4K, 30 H.264 FOV, fully automatic. The only thing I change is the exposure control.

Yep unfortunately that's pixel binning for ya. Hopefully the Mavic 3 will get it right.

HQ mode is narrow, but crispy.
It’s taken directly from the sensor , without any subsampling. that’s why is visually better.

In contrast FOV has its full length and narrow width.But the resulting data is subsampled. Moreover, it has a severe barrel distortion near to the edges.The horizon is not straight, but its bend.

Guys,How do you rectify barrel distortion when you shoot in FOV?

I use chessboard pattern and OpenCV to find coefficients k1 and k2.
Then ffmpeg lens correction filter.
