Mods, please don't keep us in the dark about what's going on. The long thread about their mods has been removed, and I'm just about the drop some bank on their product.

Now I'm worried -- the thread's gone, and CopterSafe member has no postings at all on the site.

If there's some reason related to CopterSafe that the thread was removed, you should tell the members as it is very relevant to any purchase decision.

Thank you!

The hack you're referring to is a manipulation of the software. That is something the forum doesn't condone. It is in the rules that we don't allow such talk. We have been getting lots of reports on it for a few days now so the decision was made to clear the forum of this potentially unsafe hack. No one knows what is in it and heaven help the first person who causes an injury to someone and that is found on your quad. It purposely breaks the rules of the FAA, DJI and our forum. Technically when you register a drone with DJI you agree not to hack the software/firmware. So from here on out we will not allow any further post on this firmware hack.

A couple of points to make clear...
  • we do not have any affiliation with DJI or any other consumer RC aircraft maker
  • we are not telling anyone what to do with their RC aircraft, the choice is yours
  • all post about hacks or manipulation of the software/firmware will be deleted without notice
