If you are seeing diagonal zebra stripes over bright areas, you have the overexposure warning enabled and much of your screen area is overexposed.
You can disable the zebra stripes in your app settings, but you might need to adjust your exposure so that things aren't overexposed.

If you can post a screen shot, that might help.

Hello from the Crossroads of America 96762.

I assume you're seeing the zebra stripes that indicates overexposure.

Check the settings in the app under the camera tab and click the overexposure button.

Hope that's it for you.

Is the camera set to AUTO or MANUAL? if it is set to manual exposure, hit the AUTO button and the camera will automatically expose the scene correctly.
Manual settings, with the ISO higher than 100 in bright daylight will 'blow' the whites and highlights, making the screen look white.

As others have mentioned the zebra stripes are indicating areas that are overexposed. The overexposure warning (zebra stripes) can be turned off in the camera settings.
