Why 3 pairs of silver and 2 pairs of gold props with MPP FMC?

I'm stumped. The Fly More Combo comes with 3 pairs of silver tipped (they call them platinum tip, but, whatever), and two pairs of Gold tipped props. One half of each pair, of course turns clockwise (the ones with no circles on the hub, and the other half of each pair turns counter clockwise (the ones with the circles on the hubs).

But why this particular combination? Is the gold/platinum thing just matter of style or something? I'm confused. I mean, as long as you have two of each rotation, who gives a rip? Props is props. Am I missing something?

Nope. It just allows you to customize the look.

Odd, indeed. I thought gold tip is to match MP, and platinum tip to match MPP.

But if one used up almost all spare props they may find themselves in this odd situation when they have 3 props of one color and one of the other. Very... custom!

Sounds like a goof-up, plain and simple, by a human stuffing the boxes. or the person that delivered the boxes to them at the factory. I doubt there's any more to it than that.
