Will active tracking follow something large?

Hi all. It looks like today's the day to fly off the boat. Nice weather, light winds, just enough to fill the sails but not enough to cause problems with the Mavic.
In active tracking mode, is it particularly looking for something the size of a person or will it lock onto a large boat, for instance? Any ideas?

"Large" is a relative term. How high will you fly? Here's active track of a garbage truck.

Speed and direction probably matter more. Things moving in relatively straight line probably work best.

Thanks Keith. Its probably about the size of a garbage truck and I want to get it reasonably full in the frame.

It's a fair question, to be clear, that probably only trial and error can answer. You should test it from shore or dock, of course. I suspect only a very small percentage of Mavic pilots even use that feature.
