It's hard to see how the tablet you use could have any effect on the video you record since the tablet is just for viewing and the camera in the drone is what does the recording.
Whatever your video problem is, it's not related to your tablet.

But this should give you some ideas about how the S9 performs with the app:

well I agree. but, I've had the mavic air for approximately a year-and-a-half and I just bought the new Maverick Pro 2 with the hasselblad. I tried everything I knew and I could not shoot in 4k when I downloaded the video to the computer it was still a wavy video it wasn't the smooth 4K so yesterday I called DJI in California and he told me that the Note 5 was not compatible to shoot 4K that's why I'm not getting a good image he told me anything above the note 5. so I purchased the S9. I've been ready for an upgrade anyway. However I heard with it you can only shoot in 60 frames per second so that's why I asked that question on this forum.

There is the S9 which is what I have ordered and then there is the S9 plus. I just want to make sure that the S9 that I have ordered that I can view 4K video on that device.

I have the s9 works flawlessly....the screen is wqhd (2960×1440) which is a different aspect ratio ....they call it 4k but i think what the mavic records is 3840×2160 so its a little different then viewing on a computer where it will look better true 4k same size....now the s9 has one of the best screens for a phone and viewing 4k and does it look good? H#ll yea....but just saying it will look a little better on comp. Also make sure whn u do get phone to go to settings / display and swith it from 1080 to wqhd ....idk why they ship it in that setting.

Edit also wes ....the phone or device just serves as a viewing device. What u record be it 4k or 2.7k the phone has no effect on. The mavic record it and its up to u if u want to view it off the sdcard in phone(so take sd out of drone put in phone) or view it on comp

now.... that's what I was fishin for!!! I just didn't want too up grade to that phone to still not be able to view in 4k. Now another kicker to this thing is. Any 4K video I download to my computer which is an older Dell computer is wavy as well. so , I'll provably have to upgrade my old computer at some point. But I'll take the phone working well for now thank you!!

Computer showing glitchy waviness just means not enough processing power so ya u will need to eventually....i just use my s9 works well......fish on!

You ask about recording 4K video
I just didn't want too up grade to that phone to still not be able to view in 4k.
But it looks like you are wanting to know about viewing 4K video ???

Your phone/tablet makes absolutely no difference to the quality of the video your camera will record.
None, zip, zero, zilch
Your S9 has a 2960 x 1440 screen so although you can view a 4K video on it, you can't view it in 4K since the screen does not have 4K resolution.

EIther you are confused or the DJI person was.
The phone was not affecting the quality of the video recording.
Likewise the idea that you can only record 60 fps is just bunk.
