I just tried mine and it feels pretty good when it's in the remote controller. You'll of course have to use it without a case.

Do you have a mounting solution for the Nexus 7 onto the controller. It seems to just barley fit

I've started using a 3rd gen Moto G (without a SIM card), did a full reset and put Litchi on on it's own, it works startlingly well, and my hands sit naturally on the controls, it now lives in my Mavic bag. I'm happy as long as I can get the gist of what I'm seeing, so to speak, to compose film and pictures. I can hot-spot WiFi from my Nexus 6 if I need maps.
