The app can only pick up the Mavic when the Mavic is in wifi mode. It also makes a difference if the Mavic is using 2.4GHz or 5.8GHz. Some devices do not detect the 5.8GHz.

The mavic doesn't have 5.8ghz.....
It's basically a wifi sniffer.
