Hello, I am a new user from Berlin, Germany.
Just a short question:
When tapping the outer areas on the camera image at my iPhone a yellow, dotted frame shows up, blinks 3 times and disappears.
What does it show and why? Anybody knows?

EDIT:

Here's how to recreate it:
Seems to happen only in Photo mode and then only in Single, Exposure Bracket and Series mode.
And when set to 16:9.
If you tap top screen in the middle that frame will show up for a moment.

I noticed it as well while out flying yesterday afternoon. I was in photo mode, 48mp switching between Manual and Auto exposure. I think I noticed it in Auto exposure, and I noticed that if I tapped different areas within the box that varied in brightness - such as bright areas of sky and then darker shadowed areas, it seemed to adjust the overall exposure to optimally expose the area where I tapped. I think this is what was going on, and I actually found it to be somewhat a nuisance really...

Yes, only in Auto mode. You also can tap anywhere IN the frame to get spotmeter-like exposure adjustments.
Then it shows a yellow circle (with a little cross to cancel).
Maybe this works nice with exposure lock after setting exposure this way.
Would be nice to have an in depth explanation in the manual....
