That's highly unlikely. The fact is airplanes don't divert just for the fun of it. Nor do they blame a go around on a drone that doesn't exist. There are no repercussions for a pilot a doing a go around therefore no need to cover it up.with a fake story. Most airliners now have safety...
My drone on the 600 firmware was useless. Constantly lost control between the controller and the drone. I had a flyaway into some bushes. Luckily no damage just a lot of pruned shrubs. Once I rolled it back all was good. Maybe the 700 firmware will resolve this but I'm not touching my setup...
So this is my first incident after about 20 flights with my Mavic Pro. I upgraded to the latest firmware and DJI GO 4 App. Then I went to launch the drone at the beach to capture some sunset scenes. Everything connected and looked good to go. I launched the drone and then immediately it lost all...
Sorry for your loss. I would love to hear your update from Mavic refresh if they will cover this.
Thank you for posting such a great video of the whole experience. It was educational.
Always so easy for everyone to armchair quarterback what went wrong or what you should have done but when in...
I second that! I think it would be a great feature for the Mavic to initially try to regain a loss of signal. And as you stated earlier if after 60 secs of back tracking, no joy, then initiate an RTH.
Just wondering if this might be in the works at some point...
I recently moved up from my 3dr Solo to the mavic. I am loving the compactness and quick boot up compared to the solo. What I miss is the open architecture of the software.
There was a mode that allowed you to reverse track if...
And just to let you know it actually.is restricted airspace. Surface up in the Vancouver TCA. I agree it doesn't make.sense though and am hoping the new regulations cut us some slack. We should be able to.fly.200' and below as no airplane should be at that altitude over that area.

How were you able to fly there? It's all restricted airspace. Just curious.
If I were you I wouldn't post that on YouTube or anything ... You could get a nasty fine, unless your had a permit.for the flight.

Great music for the video. Awesome sunset shots. The spinning segment didn't seem to match with the soft flows of the sunset scene but all great footage.

I'll refrain from explicatives... But man there are a lot of I'll informed drone operators here. Yes you are free to ignore laws and reccomended safety protocols in our society and do as you wish but you are literally destroying our hobby and for many a means of income by doing so. In Canada...
I realize this was operator error, but perhaps we could be more constructive and drop the 'buffoon' comments etc. If you want people to come forward and share their accident/incident reports then it should be in a safe environment where everyone can take something away from the event and...
I gotta agree with Int3grate on this silliness. While it is necessary to have rules and regulations in place, Transport Canada needs to get their head out of the office and into the real world to see that these small (< 1kg) drones pose very little risk, even when flown in city parks and in...
I agree. I am often on the approach to YVR so it is in my head to keep a look out, but I have yet to see a drone where it shouldn't be. What I was thinking is it would be nice to have a 50-75' ceiling where you could fly with no problem, evening within a Terminal Control area. At that altitude...
Cookedinlh,
Your post is brilliant and to the point. These issues must be pushed forward with Transport Canada. I would love to see a 50 - 75' or below - flight use drone airspace, providing it still adheres to avoiding roadways and gatherings of people etc. There are so many places where you...
