DJI Care Refresh.... Is it worth it?

I have a feeling JohnnyD913 is codename for JohnnyDJI. No one would defend DJI that much that didn't have ties to the company.

Ok Johnny, this is the same thing I told Jack Shen in our BBB Dispute.
If what you say is true that the four replacements in a row that you sent me were new, and each and every one of them was soon after verified defective by your own service dept, then we could say that 100% of your new drones are defective, right?

No Johnny, I have it recorded in two different phone calls, begging for them to send me a new replacement instead of those defective, used drones they've been sending me, and their "supervisor" Thomas Bruno, said they NEVER send out new ones under Care Refresh.

Everyone in that company lies and when you catch them red-handed, they just continue to repeat the lie, I guess it's a Chinese Tactic. They're trying to wear me out so I go away, but I won't quit until I get what I paid for.

What’s not to understand? You returned 4 Times! What makes a product soooo great if you have to return it 4 Times? Forget about the speedy and courteous customer service, have you ever considered the quality of their products?

I USED THE DJI REFRESH BECAUSE IM THE REASON
THE BIRDS CRASHED!!!
IM LUCKY DJI HONORED REFRESH BECAUSE
TWICE I HAD NO MAVIC TO SEND DJI SO THEY COULD FOLLOW PROTOCOL AND RETURN MINE!!

Read that paragraph Dji hated!
Two times I DID NOT RETURN A CRASHED MAVIC
YET DJI REFRESH REPLACED THEM ANYWAY!!
It says in the refresh contract YOU MUST have
A Mavic to send in.
In my case that wasn’t a prob.
Hate them all you want, HONESTLY I COULD CARE
F___ing less!
My experiences have been great!
I would be willing to beat that you are the one
That GAVE Dji a reason to dislike you!

First off, **** You. What do you know? You know everything? Do you know me? Lucky ******* you for getting new replacements I hope yo pat yourself on the ******* back every day you wake up.

Conversation getting out of hand. DJI Care Refresh is like insurance. If you don’t have any other insurance, like State Farm in US, it’s the next best thing. Like most insurance, it gives you a piece of mind, but it’s something you hope you don’t have to actually use. And like insurance, it last a year. As an example, if you didn’t have to claim on your home insurance cos your house didn’t burn down, and you think it’s a waste of money and didn’t renew cos you want to save a few hundred or thousand. Then your house burns down 2 weeks later, you can’t say you got cheated by the insurance company. And it’s not a good idea to recommend to your friends and family not to get home insurance because of that.
Same as DJI Care Refresh. Yes it cost money, but if accidents happen, at least you get a replacement, which hopefully DJI test properly before sending to you. Otherwise, you just lost $1k drone, that you would have to pay a few hundred to repair, or a few hundred to buy a refurbished one, which would most likely cost more than a Care Refresh claim.

Problem here is you just see an imbedded video. If you went to the youtube videos directly, you will see all the responses by this company in the comments.

I don't think I'm a whiner. Although I'm slowly becoming a wino because of this company. If you took the time to watch the videos to the end, you will see
that they are factual and revealing.

The dialog in the comments section, shows just how devious and bullying this company is.

I anxious to see how they resolve this legitimate complaint.
 
Conversation getting out of hand. DJI Care Refresh is like insurance

Maybe I got into the wrong thread. Actually, I thought the Care Refresh Program was an excellent idea. I didn't hesitate to purchase it. My complaints aren't against the program itself, but with the Service Center in Cerritos. Maybe it would work if they had more choices of service centers in the USA. But this place is poorly managed, and their employees are incompetent.

Like one of the reviews on Amazon ....something to the effect:

It's like buying a brand new MERCEDES BENZ, only to find out the only way to get service is from FAT CHUCK's USED TIRES AND DOUGHNUT SHOP.

That a very accurate comparison. except I never, ever got a doughnut from them.

Dang, I came home and saw on MY PHONE RECORDS that he called three times but didn't leave a msg. or a call back #. What is it he wanted to tell me? and also, why is it that YOUR records, never correspond with my records which are properly documented and available to view?


Just pick up the phone or carry a cell phone. three missed calls. Crazy. Here i can help you out send me your drone and pay for shipping and it will end this for you and you can go back to a normal happy life.

Please re-read MY posts. I didn't say all your drones were returned in a row. It was 4 of MY replacements in a row, returned defective right out of the box. Did you even watch the video?!?

Sorry, I don't have a cell phone. I'm a poor farmer, that's the only reason I chose a phantom 4 plus because of the built in screen.

If you would've read farther you would have seen that all their calls were only a few minutes apart. The guy from the Philippines just redialed and redialed, not bothering to leave a msg.

Heck, in that little bit of time, I coulda just been in the bathroom. They have been giving me the runaround for more than a year.

You really think I'm a Troll? I'm just an unhappy, dissatisfied customer, sitting here with a paperweight with propellers. These replacement units have spent more time on UPS trucks than they've been in the air. I bought the product in FEB 2017, and I spent more time on the phone, with CS, installing and reinstalling failed updates, than I have flying. Do you really think I'm being unreasonable?

I have twice not had a Mavic to return to Dji and it wasn’t a problem.
So not everyone has had a bad Dji care refresh

Well, to get back on track with the original thread, I did buy the refresh care recently when I got my M2P.
Expensive drone, pays to have some back up plan. 139 is a small price when you consider the cost of the drone, accessories and all the **** you have acquired for it. I am sure after the first year of ownership and experience, one may not need it.
 
I’m the same. I’ve never bought this before, but I did get it on my mav 2. It does seem like a reasonable insurance to have that I hope I never need
