Is there a way to override the 400ft max altitude? There have been a few times where I was in a rural area with no nearby airstrips but the app won't allow me to go beyond a 400 ft max altitude.

Is there anyway at all to bypass this limitation?

You can set the app to 500 meters max altitude.

You need to be connected to the Mavic in order to adjust this setting (as it's stored on the Mavic itself). Connect and change as mentioned. Max is 500m.

That must have been it then. I must have thought it wouldn't let you proceed from that screen.

Dji is just reminding you if anything happens to your drone and any other aircraft after you go over the set altitude then they will not take responsibility. So the responsibility now falls solely on you.. so you take the risk at your own cost..
