I rolled mine back by following the information given in that video. There has been some improvement. Flying in the same area as previously I suffered only one small signal loss episode, but that could have been a tree that came between me and the drone.

I am already using version 1.4.8 of the Fly app. From what I have been reading it is version 1.3.000 of the drone firmware that is causing the problems some of us are experiencing.

I have experienced some issues with the latest firmware that I had not noticed with the previous version. I now get random signal loss where the strength goes from 100% to zero and back to 100% again in the space of a few seconds. Also the video link now randomly freezes for a couple of seconds...

Easy mistake to make. I too thought the iPhone cable was missing from my purchase until I looked in the controller.

Very true. I have just watched a video on YouiTube where a guy in the States was turning down the ends of some 8mm rod and threading it to 5/16" - why not just use 8mm nuts!

The obstacle avoidance looks impressive - really wish the Mini 2 had that.

I must admit I did not check as I'm not sure how to do that. I assumed because it was open fields there would not be any interference. Also I flew in the same area earlier in the year and did not have any connection issues.

Has anyone else noticed that with the latest Fly version the connection between drone and controller is unstable. I had not flown for a while as I had been busy with other things but when I flew the other day the signal would go from full strength to nothing and then back to full strength...

I have noticed that a couple of times when flying. The video recorded to the SD card was perfect so I put it down to something between the drone and my phone (iPhone 8). I now just ignore it as it usually goes away fairly quickly.

Mine too. I fully charged all of my batteries and left them in the hub. When I checked them over a fortnight later all three were showing only three lights. The firmware update seems to have solved the auto-discharge problem.

That sounds like the most likely reason for a prop detaching itself in flight. Glad you were able to get it back safely.
