Awesome! What are some of the other things it can do with the mini specifically that it can't otherwise do? Can it use any of the built in dji modes? Like do the rocket launch and then run a waypoint mission? I'll probably start playing around with it this afternoon.

But unlike a chopper, there's almost no wait for the props to accelerate from off to full speed, so I guess I don't see the point. It'd just waste battery.

If you're not actually flying it uses very little battery to just sit there. Most of the battery drain is from running the motors.

I use RTH more of a return to range than home the few times I've lost connectivity (usually >600m). As soon as it gets back in range, which only takes a few seconds, I cancel and control it manually. I think I'd only use the true RTH if the controller had some kind of issue.

It was formatted exFAT. The mavic couldn't read it to even allow me to format it, so I tried formatting it in both my PC and my gopro. Both did exFAT but with slightly different allocation sizes. It just didn't like that card for whatever reason.

Yep, grabbed a 32GB card from BestBuy today and all is good. NBD, was hoping it was just the card and nothing else, and that's all it was. Took a 10 minute 2.7k video today and it came out perfectly.
