Anyone else having issues with DJI FLY app?

Hi, I just got Mavic 3 and trying to get it going. I realized that DJI Go is no longer in use. so I got the DJI Fly app. however, after initial intro video, at the Terms of Use screen, it would not let me click on "Agree"... WTH??? "Do not Consider" can be clicked. but "Agree" won't work...

    Help with NFZ

If you leave the GEO fencing on, then the NFZ extends all the way out to 30 miles.

    Help with NFZ

Where abouts in Alexandria? From that direction, the closest where you can fly is Occoquan waterfront down south... If you fly with GEO setting off, you can pretty much get airborne everywhere outside of ~15 mile NFZ.. such a pain in the butt. :)

Anyone actually get 7km range from Mavic yet?

Back a while ago, before Mavic came out, back on the Phantom 4 forum, I remember a radio expert guy explaining some technical details about DJI's radio communication methodology. I recall that 2.4 and 5 GHz radio is very close to microwave (just like the oven). and because of that nature, it is...

Would someone please settle this..can a landowner shoot down our drones or not?

Negative on that KY case. That case is not about shooting at drone. The drone happened to be the target. The charge was discharging a firearm. He could have shot vertically in thin empty air, that would have not made any difference on the charge. Sent from my iPhone using MavicPilots

Would someone please settle this..can a landowner shoot down our drones or not?

It's interesting how this topic always get mixed up with privacy, trespassing or ownership legality. it's really simple to answer your question: shooting an aircraft for whatever reason is illegal. There are a bunch of other legal issues that may or may not have a laws clearly defined: who owns...

Would someone please settle this..can a landowner shoot down our drones or not?

this has nothing to do with "who owns the airspace" issue. that's not clearly defined. but that issue has nothing to do with shooting down an aircraft. It's Federal crime to shoot down an aircraft, simply. if your privacy is invaded, if you feel, you need to seek law enforcement for that...

I concur Robert Mitchell. You can't shoot any aircraft in the air. Privacy and/or trespassing matter is completely different issue and that doesn't justify violating aircraft shooting rule.

How to Exceed Max Altitude for Mountain Flying?

Wow. I would love to not have any artificial limits to fly confined. And I would absolutely consider a workaround solution if it doesn't disable any sensors onboard. I don't know about other people, but I'd rather have all the sensors and data that I can get. If anything, I'd see to add more...

How to Exceed Max Altitude for Mountain Flying?

Sorry, two different things. Max Distance setting controls max radial distance. even if you turn that off, the max altitude is still maxed out at 500m (1640ft). if you set the max distance, less than 500m, then even with max altitude set at 500m, it would stop at whichever is shorter. Tested.

    Propeller cage.

DJI tech support never got back to me about what the setting in the app does. However, now that I see the prop cage set works with smaller propellers, I bet it changes the rpm of the motor. compensating for the lost of lift from smaller props. added weight and faster spinning motor = half of...

    Propeller cage.

I emailed DJI's tech support about it. They said that it's for future feature. Toggling it won't make any differences on current version. Sent from my iPhone using MavicPilots

    Battery Terminal Covers for planes

At Dulles airport in Virginia, I checked through security with Mavic + 4 batteries without any hassle after they examined them. I just had them packed in individual ziplock bag in my carry on bag. They looked at each bag then okay-ed them right through last month on two different trips...
