    Low Flying Aircraft

When I was holidaying in Sanya, China, there was a beach where it was very common to see people flying drones (like you'd see 2 or 3 on a walk along the beach for an hour or two)... it was completely legal and beach security guards didn't mind. At the same time, there were helicopter and sea...

    M3 review 51 Drones

*Waves* Thanks mate, hope you're doing well. I've been too busy to fly or edit much for a few months (backlog of raw vids to edit piling up), so not been very active here. I have been lurking every now and then though. :D

My Mavic Air 2 and Mini 2 Range Issues

I don't have a SC, I just use the stock controller without any mods. As I've mentioned in previous posts on this thread, the key is taking off from a high location, ensuring there are no obstructions between the controller and the drone, and aligning the controller correctly. It makes a...

My Mavic Air 2 and Mini 2 Range Issues

Yes, anyone who can find a location with clear line of sight (and thus no signal interference) for 10km+ I've reached 9km+ on my Air 2. I could have pushed it further, but the limiting factor is battery, not signal strength.

Looking at Mavic 3 ,now have mavic air 2

I think the answer depends entirely on your personal circumstances. There is an element of diminishing returns with how much you invest in a drone and how much extra performance you get out of it. The main advantage of the M3 over Air 2 is the significantly larger sensor, which helps with low...

    M3 review 51 Drones

That's not fair on Russ. He isn't a moron flying into trees out of recklessness or ignorance. He is a product reviewer testing the limits of Mavic 3's OA technology. In his first review, lots of people complained that he didn't push it far enough, so he did, and found the limits of the technology.

    M3 review 51 Drones

Of course, I was comparing DJI's weakest feature with Skydio's main selling point. I was actually tempted by the Skydio 2 when I was looking to buy my first drone, but eventually chose an Air 2 because it significantly outclassed Skydio in battery, camera and range. Those performance gaps are...

    M3 review 51 Drones

It does seem to be a lot better than 2Pro and other previous models. However, once the leaves are gone, it's asking a lot for any drone sensor to pick up on those tiny branches. I will be curious to see how Mavic 3 competes with Skydio 2 once all its active track features are released. I...

Sell my new un-flown Mavic air 2 to get 2s?

I am an Air 2 owner. The Air 2S is the best value-for-money drone on the market in my opinion. If I could get my full investment back on my Air 2 (obviously I can't), I'd definitely pay a little extra for the Air 2S now.

This has to be a scam right?

Yes, it's a scam. I've also come across YouTube ads for a drone that promises to deliver the world for £99. Implying that they are (conveniently non-Chinese) DJI ex-employees disgusted at the "money grabbing ways" of DJI. But dig a bit deeper, the ad is made with footage shot by completely...

    What should I buy

Air 2S is definitely better value for everyone outside of Europe and Canada.

Mavic 3 vs DJI Air 2s Complete Comparison ( is the upgrade worth it?)

Honestly, having lived in China for two years recently, I think the Mavic 3 (especially the Cine version) is perhaps aimed at the domestic market more than the international market. Why do I say this? Well, Western customers tend to be value conscious, want the best bang for their buck and...

My Mavic Air 2 and Mini 2 Range Issues

Yeah, the key really is height. You can achieve advertised range even under urban conditions if there is no physical obstruction between your controller and drone. Higher altitude of the drone itself also helps to stay clear of ground level signals interference. Of course, it's unsafe and...
