Went to FAADrone Zone to register my new 2S. Registering as recreational until I have my 107, however, the site is telling me my SN is not valid. I verified that the SN on the unit and the SN on the box match. Since the FAA site says it's not valid it won't let me register. Could it be that...

Like most generics (think grocery store brand items), you don't readily see who the manufacturer is but one can easily tell. Same here, the cost is likely the same to us but they saved a few bucks by saying it's their own.

If I do get the MA2 it will be primarily for the avoidance technology and distance improvements. Unless I'm out in a very open field I'm lucky to get more than 1,100 feet away from launch point.

Thank you all, never realized the sap and leaves could cause disruption but it makes perfect sense. I've been struggling to under why my flights near my home have shortened in distance. Have lots of trees (30+ in my yard alone).

Finally after deleting and rebooting several times was able to open the app. Recalibrated everything HOWEVER the RTH despite were off by more than 50' when pushed RTH. Not sure why will try again tomorrow but was fearful it would not respond or crash somewhere out of my control.

Have an iPhone X. Updated firmware last week flew twice since. Today app won't open and the app crashes instantly. I deleted the app, rebooted then downloaded the app. Same issue.

Aren't flight modes C, S, and P in the app? Is putting a phone in flight mode different or is that meant to be 'airplane mode'. I believe it's meant to be 'airplane mode' although I can be wrong with that as well. Us newbies can be easily confused.

I've experienced a similar issue in wide open areas where I can still visually see the Firehouse LED's flash. I did not know you could fly in airplane mode. Thank you for explaining.

Yes, have taken my Fly More Mavic Mini set up several times and have yet to even be questioned.

1 Parrot Anafi 1 Mavic Mini I'm too cheap to spend big bucks until I'm a better pilot. That might be never at the rate I'm going.
