flying in hawaii big island & national parks

Kauai has a few National Parks, but mostly State Parks. You should get permission to fly in the SPs beforehand. NP are off limits to take off an land in. Also, there is much military aircraft activity, especially along the S and W coasts where there are bases, airstrips, and missile ranges all...

    Ohio Fly In???

East sider here as well. I've flown a couple times at the South Chagrin Polo Fields, most recently with some friends on Friday (warm, though a little too windy for my liking). My friends and I are all beginners so probably make that location a regular lunch hour/weekend spot this spring.

why can't mavic have tello's indoor stability

The Tello has a surprising amount of down draft, and proportionate to it's weight, it's probably more susceptible to drift from it, yet stays put (or fights it really well - same with wind). I agree - the Mavic should utilize the downward sensors and cameras far better than it does with no GPS.

    NE OHIO

Good info about Burke, thank you. Have you (or anyone here) tried contacting Cuyahoga County Airport (KCFG) yet? I live within 5 miles (in a 400 ft ceiling area, per airmap) so when it's warmer, I'd like to fly in my backyard (fly for fun, not part 107). Wondering what I should expect when...

Where can i velcro mount tiny gps locator?

For tracking a lost drone. The watches we're talking about have a 2G SIM card in them, and send an SMS with their exact location when queried.

Where can i velcro mount tiny gps locator?

This is actually a really solid idea that I hadn't thought of. Simple GPS watches can be had for $20 and prepaid SIMs for $5 or less a month. Thumbswayup I'm also curious where the best place would be to mount it. Interested in other's input.

Mavic pro forced landing dangerously, DJI avoid responsibility

Because you were much closer and much lower on those flights, so the AC knew it didn't need to auto land yet to make it back safely. You could fly down to 1% or lower if you're at the home point, 1 foot off the ground. See, you cannot say that. As you found out, 20% was only enough battery to...

Mavic pro forced landing dangerously, DJI avoid responsibility

120 M/400 feet, but still.... Malaysia drone rules. All locations in the screenshots are in Kulai and are heavily populated areas. Also against the Maliysian rules to be flying over that. I'm not usually a drone cop, but this was pretty darn reckless.

Mavic pro forced landing dangerously, DJI avoid responsibility

If I'm reading this right, the AC had just enough time @ 20% battery remaining to descend from 1,102 feet AGL to land with the battery nearly 100% depleted. Doesn't matter what the settings were, the software did its job and initiated auto-land when it knew it could still make it down, then...

Testing ASUS Z380M with DJI Go... Results

You can read the change logs for the current and all the past releases here. Pano modes, quickshot, etc. have been added in the last few releases. Plenty of important fixes (photo quality bugs) and features added in the last year. Like you said, some folks value these more than others...

Testing ASUS Z380M with DJI Go... Results

No disrespect, but I always have to disregard these kinds of reviews when they're testing running a nearly year old version DJI Go 4. o_O Most tablets/phones that have problems, have problems keeping up with the processor/RAM needs of the newer versions of DJI Go, so if you're investing in...
