I feel i've seen more posts on problems regarding non IOS devices especially with firmware updates. There have been a few here and there ive noticed, but for the most part, when searching the internet for information about Mavic Pro problems/errors, I notice more complaints reported by non apple...

Try shutting everything off, then booting everything in this order (1) log out of dpi app, reboot phone (2) reboot RC (3) connect phone to RC and log into your DJI account (4) fire up the MP. Some other guy had issues after updating and this method helped him. Im going to update my firmware...

LOL nice. Strange about it flying straight up the way it did. That happened to me on my second flight trying to auto land. Luckily i was able to regain control. Congrats on getting your problem solved!

Haha man im still a new pilot. Still gets unnerving the further I fly out and the higher I go. Ive been hand launching and landing with a gear 360 camera mounted. Glad at least i have hand land and launch down comfortably at least

Glad to have came across this post. From all the conflicting posts ive seen, this one may have helped me decide on picking up the DJI goggles.
