I get it too on my iPad Mini 4 wifi/cell. Usually pops up when I hotspot it to my phone to pull down the maps. Once they are loaded, I shut off the hotspot. If the warning is still there (usually gone by then) I just touch it to close it and fly. I have never noticed it causing any problem.

Looks to me like a type of swallow. They seem to be very curious and often circle around my Mini if hovering or moving slow. They never seem to threaten but rather just buzz around checking it out.

You might want to wait as I believe Firehouse is coming out soon with a more powerful unit. I have the 4 led strobe for my mini and honestly am disappointed in its daytime visibility.

The prop guards really shouldn't be affecting the battery life that much. With them on I get about 18 minutes flight time rather than the normal 25 or so. I'll be interested to see what you find with them off.

Are you flying with the prop guards installed? If so, they limit distances. Also, DO NOT set the RTH to the max! Set it high enough to clear any nearby obstacles but don't overdo it. If RTH activates the drone may well climb very high only to find the wind up there is more than the Mini can...
