Edinburgh without my Mavic battery charger... :(

So... I grabbed my normally fully stocked photo backpack, soon to discover that I had left my charger behind before going to Scotland. Bummer! I have 70% on one battery and that will at least get me up in the air, but two more batteries would be preferable! Any Mavic pilots in downtown...

Mavic 2 Pro - Finnich Glen

First real test of my Mavic 2 Pro inside Finnich Glen. APAS was going beserk! Area also used as a filling location for the TV series Outlander. DlogM, 4k full FOV, 0, 0, 0. All manual settings: iso400 (my trusty MP would have baulked at that), f2.8 and 1/50th, no NDs. Didn't want to push the...

Blown away by the Air | DJI - Mavic Air - Travel Film

Hi there! 1st post on these forums, since I'm usually flying a Phantom, but this spring I got to test the Mavic Air in all sorts of conditions. Chasing winter wonderland and auroras beyond the Arctic Circle in Finnish Lapland, snowboarding the heights of the Tyrolean Alps in Austria...

LAMM Mountain Marathon, Isle of Harris

A MP, Osmo, tent, food, buckets of sweat and sore legs. A stupid last minute FW update unlocked my white balance so matching colours was a real pain and I'm not fully happy with it. Thinking about a Xrite Color Passport reference card. Anyone with experience?

Golf in Scotland & Ireland This Summer

I'm celebrating a landmark birthday this year and planning to be at the Open Championship in mid-July with my wife. As part of the trip I hope to find a few "hidden-gem" golf courses to play. I don't feel compelled to play the Rota courses. I' really looking for a Shivas Irons experience. Our...

    Scotland & Running Red Stag!

Hi all, have not posted much here since joining about 10 months ago, and thought it was about time! Accrued over 130 flights since then, been sent back once for faulty gimbal (care refresh) and one minor incident with a tree (my fault) but still loving my Mavic, even with the constant updates...

First Big Dump of the Season!

First snow in the Highlands and a weekend away in the Cairngorms. First day was filmed with Mavic @ 2.7k, Normal, +1,0,0. Second day was too windy so just carried Osmo instead and filmed with same settings. Just made sure to carry battery in pocket to keep warm before flying - no temperature...

Durness on the Scottish North Coast 500

Durness is a village and civil in the north-west Highlands of Scotland. The area is remote and the parish is huge and sparsely populated covering an area from east of Loch Eriboll to Cape Wrath, the most north-westerly point of the Scottish mainland. Durness lies on the popular North Coast 500...

Taking my Mavic to Scotland. What are the the "FJA Special Use Airspaces?"

Hi folks, I'm taking a family holiday in about a week and planning to bring my Mavic during a trip down the Caladonian Canal and while doing so hiking on the Isle of Skye. When I check the Kittyhawk app for Skye and most of the highlands, I see several Special Use Airspaces, but cannot find...

Flight over the Firth of Forth - Scotland

My first attempt at editing footage from a few flights over the Firth of Forth yesterday with my new Mavic Pro. The montage is Lady tower in Elie, then a small part of Kirkcaldy shore line and finally a small snippet of the new Queensferry crossing bridge. I have not did any adjustment to the...

Isles of Harris, Lewis and Skye

Isles of Harris, Lewis and Skye in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland. A short video of our holiday touring these beautiful islands. We were blessed with sunny (if not a little too windy for the Mavic!) weather. Location details are embedded in the YouTube description and video itself. Hope you enjoy.
