400 foot elevation?

So if I understand you correctly, one could fly up the slope of a hill/mountain regardless of height, and as long as you stayed within 400' of the surface of the hill/mountain, that would be perfectly legal?
That's correct.

Do you know or have that information that I may copy as to have a legal description on hand while flying in the area that I have spoken about?

thats correct you can hike up Everest to the top flying a drone all the way and at the 29000 ft level you can still go up 400 more feet

Except that the Mavic 2 Pro has a service ceiling of 6,000 metres (19,685 ft) ASL. So it may not be able to accompany you on the last part of the ascent!
