Hi all, has anyone here tried the 4hawks range extenders? wondering if it’s worth the money. There’s a lighthouse that I’d love to shoot and I just need a little bit more range. I launch from a neighborhood with lots of interference and I do get some lag on the video feed.
Hopefully someone here has input on 4hawks.
Thanks in advance
Karl

Looked at the install video. 12 seconds in I knew it was above my skill level. Forgot to see if factory installation was available. Anxious to see feedback as to it's improved effectiveness. Looks like a good boost.

This setting I added the 5GHz Boosters which double the range of 4hawks in Urban City full of interference. And I can interchangeable to Omni Antennas too. This DIY mods saves me some $$ if you already got 4hawks and wanted to upgrade boosted antennas. Very happy with this mod.

Range is hard to measure. The area I fly in may be different than others. I have not done any real tests to gather that kind of information. What was noticeable to me was the signal strength bars on the screen not dropping off as quickly. I will get the air out this weekend and try to get some better info for you. I actually have a stock controller also so I can switch between the two. Thunderdrones would be my suggestion on the controller modification.
