Activation?

I just powered up my smart controller for the first time. I walked through the steps, and it says I am activated. I never powered up the drone. Does this mean the Smart Controller is activated, or are both the drone and Smart Controller activated, being I bought them as a bundle?

I want to make sure I activate the drone correctly so I can purchase DJI Care for the drone.

Nevermind, I jumped the gun. As soon as I powered up the drone, it walked me through the activation process.

I hate when I do that ?

I can understand the mixup. Who would think that a controller needs activation?

It has to do with starting the warranty clock.

That makes sense. The smart controller is a serious controller, so I can see them wanting to activate it.
