Just a quick question. Does the Mavic Pro, not the mavic 2, but the Mavic Pro, does it have obstacle avoidance when using active track?

Yes.

Yes, but it can be turned off. To check if its on, go to the visual navigation settings in the app and scroll down. When enabled, it only works when flying forward, so not in profile. And how effective it will be is questionable and will likely depend upon what the obstacle is.

Related...there is also a setting to enable backward flying in active track because there is no obstacle avoidance in reverse.

Thanks guys, I haven't ever used the mode yet because I live where many trees are and was afraid of it hitting something, but I am going to a friends place in a couple days and he has a larger area to try it out.

Also I just heard that they were gonna try to make it legal to fly at night, it that really true? I mean I read this article but don't know how serious they are.
