I could use some advice on cutting a matt and when not to overcut or remove too much on the side margins for the sake of the plano. Matt size that came with the frame are as follows, 14 x 18 with inside dims of 7.5 x 9.5. Photo dims are 8 x 18 with room cover the sides as needed with side margins, but the shot is stunning and I'm trying to figure out if there's a ratio that should be followed for top and side margins. I'm using a Logan Matt cutter for layout.
