Air 3 3D infrared sensor question.

Reading through the specs, I’ve notice that the Air 3 has a 3D infrared sensor. The Mavic 3 doesn’t appear to have this.

Does anyone here know where this infrared sensor is located?

Both of those drone models have an infrared sensing system. Here are more details from the DJI manuals:

It's a pretty standard feature these days. You can see them on the Mini 3 models too:

It's called a Time of Flight (ToF) sensor, and operates the same as the older ultrasonic sensors, except with infrared wavelengths of light. Emits a pulse and measures the return time of the reflection. This can be converted to a distance measurement to whatever is below.

It's more accurate and has greater range than the ultrasonic sensors, and why DJI switched to them some years ago.
