I was researching interesting places to fly and double checking on B4UFLY and FAA maps and it appears that I am allowed to fly at a tiny, local airport that houses private planes.

What is your understanding of the following address?

1 Airport Road, Hopedale, Massachusetts, USA

I agree with sar104. I encountered the same situation at St. George Island, Florida. The plantation has a small airstrip with no control tower. There are no issues flying normal recreational flight, but be aware of any incoming or leaving private planes.

The really small airports are definitely fun to fly around, but I'm betting that if you show up on the runway or tarmac, you'll be approached. The airport itself is privately owned, so you'll need to consider that for your launch points. Also keep in mind that there are ~20 arrivals/departures per day on average, so you'll definitely need to keep your eyes peeled--an extra set of eyes is strongly recommended. Remember, not all aircraft are equipped with ADS-B, so they won't necessarily show up on your controller screen (assuming you fly a drone with ADS-B).

I recently did some shooting at an airport--it felt weird, but definitely fun.
