Amazon refurbished Mini3 - Is it a good deal

I want to switch from the Mini 2 to the Mini3.
I looked on Amazon and found Refurbished "Very good state, minor esthetic defect" for around 70USD cheaper than a new one.... almost the price of a 2nd battery.
But I am a bit worried because you can only detect defects while flying it,... not looking at it..... So is-it really a good deal.

I would like to get your views, especially if you used this Amazon Refurbished option

If you are going to get a refurbished Drone get one from a dealer such as CAMRISE, they sell DJI refurbs. I am not sure if Amazon refurb is the same. If it is I would buy it. If you are not for sure that its a true refurb from DJI I would Pass.

Purchased a DJI FPV on Amazon, fulfilled by Beach Camera. Advertised as very good condition. To my surprise, it was like new, original box and all. No issues with set up and flew perfectly. Check out the fulfillment organization as well as return policy and go from there. Beach Camera had a 90 day return on the FPV. Very happy with the purchase.

Amazon Return Policy is one of the best, if its not perfect it goes back.
One our clues is if the Horizion is not perfect out of the box , it goes back .

Amazon is probably the best place to buy a refurbished drone due to their real "no questions asked" free returns. If the listing provides extended warranty options it's an even better deal since only the best refurbished products and sellers will offer this. Example below (not for your drone.)

I've bought several refurbed products from Amazon (no drones, unfortunately) and never got a bad one or one I needed to return.

The only reason I would avoid a refurbished product is the seller has no reviews.

From what I read, it doesn't mean much; it wasn't really refurbished, but just minor appearance review and may a little seller test, not technically refurbished. Buyer beware.

BEWARE! Amazon Refurbished is a misnomer. It is an Amazon 3rd party seller selling used products that they have "repaired/refurbished" on the Amazon marketplace, not Amazon selling something Amazon has refurbished.

It is only covered by the A to Z seller warranty, where Amazon only acts as the intermediary. Amazon accepts the seller’s lies as truth, and makes you prove them wrong, and may take months to resolve, assuming you are successful! I would never buy an Amazon "refurbished" drone!

The only refurbished drones worth considering are DJI Refurbished drones, either sold directly by DJI, or an authorized reseller. They are basically brand new overstock DJI Care replacements being sold off as Refurbished. It's the exact same drone you get under DJI Care, offered at a roughly 25% discount, eligible for full warranty and DJI Care.

Anything else, including Best Buy refurbished drones are junk! Caveat emptor!
