Amazon's new "intelligent" battery

What are your thoughts on Amazon's "intelligent" battery?

I wouldn't mind spending the extra $20 if there were a clear advantage.

Battery for what? The Mavic? I haven't seen any clones yet.
Either way, stick to DJI products when it comes to the propulsion system (batteries, props).

I saw someone on Amazon selling the DJI battery for $119. The OP might be thinking it's a different battery. It's not.

I think you're correct. I haven't seen the high-priced "intelligent" battery advertised since. In any case, I ordered the Combo kit, which comes with 2 spares, as well as some other stuff. Also ordered: A lens sunshade, landing gear extender, joystick protector, and the lanyard adaptor. Next will be the 6-filter pak (4 ND and a couple of polarizers. I'm going to make my own adjustable lanyard with some stuff from Ace Hardware. I plan to fly in urban environs, so I may get a range extender if I have connectivity issues.

I'm already looking forward to the Mavic Pro II. I think I can sell my original Mavic Pro at a profit in Australia next year.
