One of several reports found Search and rescue teams use drone to help injured hiker in southern Utah

Found a dronedj link that states an Enterprise M2 was used DJI M2ED helps hurt hiker rappel 400 ft in Snow Canyon State Park

Not sure why a chopper wasn't a better option to evacuate from the top . . . maybe too remote, or not available.

Yeah thought initially he said they flew it back down, but listened a couple more times and he does say at 0:45 'they disconnected that, threw the drone back down'.
Think he was a bit excited still about the whole thing.

Good work though, the 660' of light haul cord was a pretty good effort.
Think they needed about 400' to the rescue site, above so likely just took it up from the ground below, releasing just what was needed as it ascended.
