I have these. They work well. I've gone out over 30,000ft in stock form in an Urban environment. I'd say they give you a 30% increase over stock. The big gains come when you add in-line amplifiers such as Sunhams 3W 2.4ghz amplifiers. With amps you get more like 70% more range.

The main thing is to get the RP-SMA connectors installed on the remote. After that, you can use any 2.4GHz antenna. My long range antenna is the RexUAV Circular Polarized with amps which I current own the Leaderboard top spot with nearly 42,000ft range, limited only by my battery.

Would be nice if there was a wiki or something with all of the available options/combinations of aftermarket RC signal, and some DIY instructions etc.

I'm sure it'll be very good. I don't think you'll have range issues any longer. Regarding your amp and battery location, you could also mount them to the Skyreat mounting plate, but the way you have it now looks clean.

Any experience with the Nano Sync antennas?

I already bought these antennas because there are linear so I will see what kind of range I get with these before I get the circular

These don't boost so well. They work well stock, but I noticed with boosting there's a lot of interference which makes for poor video qualify. You'll likely want to try another antenna. I think the FPVLR Circular Polarizing one designed for the Solo would be a good one for you. The Circular Polarizing really cuts out interference due to opposite polarization of the TX and RX sides. Those of use that have tested a variety of antenna are having best results with these CP type for boosting. Anyway, just an FYI in case you find your video isn't looking so well when you boost.

If I have any problem with the regular antennas I'm going to order the circular just wanted to see before I spend another $139

That's a nice one, same one I have but in pure silver. I still think I'd lean toward the FPVLR version. Anyway I get good results with mine.

No, but getting the new version which has built in booster today. I will be testing it for MaxxUAV. I may need to do some installation, so it might be a couple days before I get some results.
I'm thinking a out ordering a modded controller from them so that I'll have my current stock one and then a modded one that I can use when I want distance. If I go that route I'll likely get their nano sync antenna as well.

Curious to see how well it cuts through the trees and wifi around my house. I'm getting 2,000 feet at best with the stock controller.
