I think so too. This forum although dedicated to DJI products just happens to be one of the most informative forums for ALL Drones really and I think the forum should somehow expand to include other producers.I know this is a DJI forum, but I am sure this sub-forum would be interesting for many users.
Or perhaps a "BIrds of the same feather" forum. The recent FCC issues will affect all non-US drone companies. It would be helpful to have a common place to share information and come up with potential strategies.Could you open a new forum dedicated to the Antigravity A1 drone ?

Because there is no indication that it (Antigravity aka Insta360 aka Arashi Vision) is going out of business? Why create a new forum for a "foreign drone-maker" who's going out of business shortly?![]()

Not available in the US ≠ company going out of business "shortly".
They'll still sell enough throughout the rest of the global marketplace to warrant further development.
Insta360 spun out the Antigravity company, but it still holds a majority stake. As a company, Insta360 has the resources to play thje long game. It generated around $780M in revenue in 2024, with a net profit of over $131M.
Insta360 is not going out of business, that's just silly. Kinda like GoPro.Antigravity is a new drone brand incubated and co-founded by Insta360 (Founded in 2015).
It stands out for the complete integration of Insta360's 360° imaging technologies into a flying device.
Insta360 isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
My A1 has a lot of awesome features compared to my Mavic Air 3!
How can you appreciate (or criticize) it if you don't own this drone ? YouTube videos: a last resort.
My question was mainly directed at a moderator.
If the answer is no, no worries, a dedicated forum will be available soon, as mentioned by AeroJ.
Happy new year.
The only thing that the A1 has in common with the Karma is that they were both developed by companies in the sport camera business.A1 is like Karma. Their little drone experiment is gonna be cancelled.
I believe the A1 is groundbreaking and it's a great drone and as of today while it is the only option in the market, it dominates and it's actually pretty good for the Antigravity drone brand. Pretty sure the sales are acceptable and likely on target as expected with plans to expand around the world. They beat DJI to the market and they sell at American's #1 B&M electronics store Best Buy where DJI doesn't. It's sub 250 so it's a great drone for use in America without registration and all over the world, too. Before long, many Americans will become familiar with the AG name and soon they probably have plans to sell at Amazon and Target and Walmart and other places that have been recently deprived of DJI drones. finally these places can start selling quality drones that have a great future and they can plan on years of supports and different model to build the portfolio since these store will never accept just one drone model and be done with it.The only thing that the A1 has in common with the Karma is that they were both developed by companies in the sport camera business.
When you enter a mature market, you need to disrupt the market to have any chance. The Karma didn't do that it and the hardware design was flawed. The A1 brings 360° from a company with a proven track record in that space.
Even if DJI's Avata 360 can compete with the A1, you can only buy one of them at Best Buy. That gives Antigravity an advantage.
Why do you think Insta 360/Antigravity won't be able to recover from the lack of access to the US market? We are a large market, no dispute there. But the US market is just a slice of the global market. The result is that the rest of the world gets to have nicer things. Then on Dec 23, the FCC pulled the rug out from under not just DJI but everybody. It caught the entire drone industry by surprise including the folks at AG and Insta. No credible professional company can declare business as usual, no worries, after such a devastating announcement. Can't really blame them since they had no way of knowing it was coming. Nevertheless, they won't be able to recover from that. They're finished. Everything I said earlier is basically finished except the A1 is still a great drone. That's about it.
Parrot is a French company, and unless they get a waiver, new drones from them will not be allowed. The FCC announcement did not have any carve-outs for "allied products".We are heading towards a drone world split in two: an American sphere of influence with local (Skydio, Freefly, Teal) or allied (Parrot) products, and the rest of the world which will continue to massively use Chinese technology, considered more efficient and less expensive.
"They're finished." I do not think so !
A sub forum for the A1, here, could be interesting (I'm repeating myself)

Which is great if you are purchasing drones for the military market. Parrot exited the consumer business.https://www.parrot.com/assets/s3fs-public/2023-02/ANAFI-USA-product-sheet.pdf
The "Blue UAS" Program: The Next Level of Alliance
More than just FCC authorization (the legal minimum), Parrot participates in the Blue UAS program overseen by the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) of the U.S. Department of Defense.
This program lists "trusted" drones that meet U.S. cybersecurity requirements and comply with the NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act), which prohibits the use of Chinese drones by federal agencies.
And I know Parrot is french (I am french)
I would guess that they are using the same sensors as their handheld cameras. The largest sensors that they are using are the 1/1.28" dual sensors in their X5 cameras. That is the same size as the dual sensors in A1.Just one model or do they plan to have more models, like those with larger sensors?
I don't think there is an Antigravity Mavic A1 UAS available.
