Antigravity A1 sub forum please

"I don't think there is an Antigravity Mavic A1 UAS available."
Is this forum only for Americans ? Many of us are not American !
The Antigravity is not a Mavic A1.

Parrot maintains a presence in the US with "Prosumer" drones

The ANAFI drone, while geared towards professionals, sits on the edge of high-end recreational drones (what's known as the prosumer market).

The ANAFI Ai and the ANAFI USA: These models are still sold in the United States. If an American individual has the budget (expect to pay between $2,500 and $7,000 depending on the version), they can certainly purchase a Parrot drone.

Local manufacturing: To appeal to the American market and circumvent concerns related to China, Parrot even has some of its drones (notably the ANAFI USA) manufactured directly in the United States, in Massachusetts.

In short: Why is Parrot the ideal "partner"?

Even though they no longer sell small drones for €300 at Fnac or Best Buy, they are extremely active in the US market because:

They are "Blue UAS" certified: This is the Pentagon's (US Department of Defense) trusted label.

They comply with the NDAA: Their components do not come from China, which is the number one selling point for American customers today.

Concerning the subforum, I understand that there will not be a subforum on Antigravity.
I will write my findings on my own website, for a reminder. For me and perhaps for others.
I'm not sure what you mean by 'only Americans.' There are many fine UAS operators that frequent this forum from all over the globe (and the galaxy, sometimes).

I think my point was, this is a place for Mavic Pilots. Whatever type of thing you brought up, wasn't a Mavic of any sort, and asking for a sub-forum for it, was dumb.

Strange, I’m a member of the Mavic pilots forum, also the Tello pilots forum, and the Autel pilots forum. I see no reason why there shouldn’t be an Antigravity Pilots forum as there is also a Parrot pilots forum.

If there is a Parrot Pilots or Autel Pilots forum here at Mavic Pilots.com, then my mistake and my apologies.

But is there....?

I've decided to buy the Avata 360 but not on day one (if it launches in January). I will wait until the price comes down; hopefully in the aftermarket close to MSRP. Which package depends on battery availability and price differences since I already have all of the controller accessories. I'd like to wait and see all the reviews and watching things unfold to hopefully make a decision in March in time for the new flying season (for me). Since it's probably the last new DJI model we can get, I think it's a no-brainer. Glad to see there is no "transceiver" attachment.

I will particularly enjoy seeing the comparison to the AG A1. I have no doubt the Avata 360 won't even come close to features and capabilities and I don't expect there to be good supporting software in place right away. IMO there's no way to make the current equipment (RC2, G2, G3, Integra, N2, RC2, RC3) perform at an advanced level else they would have done it already with the dozen drones that already work with it. I expect new equipment shortly. if that means an Avata 360 Pro then we probably won't be getting it in the US anyway. In any case, the AG A1 is off the table for me (unless it goes 50% off) but I don't know anyone who has bought it anyway (except maybe one or two people).

There ought to a be a " JunkYard Drones" Forum, you know, for all those pilots that have busted up drones that don't fly anymore.

It just doesn't appeal to me at all. I guess it isn't my thing.
These are my 4 favorite AG A1 videos so far. I think the DJI Avata 360 will be able to recreate the videos but I don't think the features will be there.

Third video is nice, being able to scroll around.

And it's not sped up in editing like the other two videos, with the warped perspectives.

But when you're filming beautiful terrains, you want to capture as much detail as possible. That's not what this seems to be about, it's going more for the wow effect as images flash by.

Agreed this is not going to replace the Mavic or the Air for beautiful cinematic video. For now it seems like some of the videos are super flashy because the editing software facilitates it but something tells me we won't be able to do that so easily with the Avata 360 right out of the box.

Also I think the 360 drone is intended to capture all angles with one pass rather than multiple passes trying to get the best shot. So often I forget to get the video shots while looking straight down to the ground.

The A1 will benefit from having more mature editing software out of the box. It's an advantage with a short window.

"It just doesn't appeal to me at all. I guess it isn't my thing."

You should try it before guessing it isn't your thing.
I bought it for 3 reasons :
1 360 full pictures/videos for my website
2 ease of use, funny, fast, cannot see a problem right now.
3 googles, you feel you are the drone itself.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I use Davinci Studio, and keep the 2:1 8k equirectangular format.
It is a 360° drone, so, of course, if you reduce the video to a 16:9 format, you loose a lot.
You can play your 360 videos with vlc, or online, or best, with a VR headset (I use aframe for my website).
