The noise is still there, but definitely not as strong as before and not enough to cause the failover to take place.

Thats's good news, and no error messages this time apart from a dodgy phone lead. I do admit taking drones and other electrical goods apart puts the fear of god into me, but if it saves me sending it back it's a good thing. Forgot to recalibrate compass so will do that next time.
