Are there are pitfalls, things the To Do videos dont point out?

Is it strictly electrical modification, as in swapping out the antenna cables?

Or is there firmware/software considerations before tearing it down.

All Ive gathered so far is you need to be careful with the ribbon display cable, and not lose
screws?

But If you've messed it up, or done it like a boss in 20 mins, any advice would be appreciated
Cheers

There are, as with anything else, some things to watch out for.
Small connectors that if treated wrong will break. Wires that will get pinched if not in the correct position. Designed well, but very limited space.
Go slow and take pictures, and some decent tools will help.

Tools are no problem (arrowmax)
I've just been told 5d button is tricky.
That would have been sucked

Anything that can break easy is good to know. Id rather suceed with help, than
fail being cocky about it.

One to watch for is the wire and connector for the fan. Circled in red.
When you disconnect the wires for the main screen that’s just above it, don’t bang it around.DAECF3D8-E620-4357-99BD-77DA4243CFB6.jpeg

No real trick to the button. Just use two tools to pry up 180 degrees apart.

Almost got my screen when I read the title, as it stands I can't see a device smaller then a basket ball at 1 mile, with the backdrop being high desert everything blends together. Going high for a blue background works but again, device smaller then a basket ball is out of visual range for these 70 year old eyes. Lots of luck on your efforts, check out WavLink, WiFi range extender like the Verizon repeater boosts the signal without hacking your transmitter. And remember the RC has those antenna and FCC approval as is, with directional beam forming antenna it won't.

Thanks for replies/Google Translates ;)
Will get it sorted.

Recalibrate the gimbals after reassembly.

lol google translate is killing me.

Do you mean the control Sticks?
I recalibrated the Remote Controller afterwards yes. Thanks

Sorry, Yes... control sticks. It's an old holdover from my RC airplane days.

When you install the new pigtails make sure two sides (of the part thats inside the controller) go straight up and down. If they’re positioned otherwise they’ll obstruct your camera and video buttons.
