Shot 5 photos today of a ship from my Mavic 3. As you can see 1 is vertical. Anyone know how this happened? Never saw that before.

It's obviously been shot normally.
The glitch is in whatever program is showing you those thumbnails.
Unlikely, The drone probably did it. either way it can just be rotated.

Not really sure but of course you can easily flip it in software

Without measuring, the image in question looks like it was shot in 16:9 aspect ratio. I believe the default is 4:3 as it is with the other images.

All of those images have the same pixel dimensions and all are 4:3 aspect ratio..

The image was obviously shot in landscape.

The drone almost certainly labeled it with the wrong orientation
(in the EXIF metadata Rotate Photos to be Upright - Sirv Help Center).

I frequently experience this when shooting with a phone at a strange angle, the landscape image is labeled as portrait and displayed sideways in the file browser, just like you're seeing.
Was it windy? Could be there was a momentary gust that made the drone decide it's at an angle?
