Are the new props just as loud?

I watched a few YouTube videos yesterday, including one that used a device to measure decibels. The new props weren't quieter in any of the comparisons, they were actually measured to be slightly louder in one of the videos. Another video found a 3% reduction in noise -- completely negligible.

Is there any solid evidence that these are worth a purchase?

I think they are slightly more efficient, therefore slightly lower RPM translating to slightly fewer decibels. Just enough to use in a marketing ploy.

The (DJI) claimed noise reduction on the Mavic Platinum Pro is a combination of the new props and a different modulation scheme (Field Oriented Control) for the motors.

I seriously doubt there will be any advantage to using the new props on the ‘old’ Mavic Pro.

The best way to lower ‘perceived’ noise level on a Mavic is to fly your P3 first...lol. The Mavic is much quieter.[emoji12]

I think the new Motors are the biggest contributor in noise reduction, with the addition of the props.
