Rec pilot here. Just installed your app. Went very smoothly. Could you please describe the ‘need’ or ‘benefits’ of creating an account?

BTW. I do like the ability to simply drop a pin on the map to indicate where you plan to lift off.

The main benefits of creating an account are you will be able to request LAANC (if you need it), access your account on other platforms (desktop/tablet coming very soon), and purchase insurance. I hope this helps!

Sorry for the delay! Creating an account will allow you to use the app on multiple devices (mobile and web) and have all your info saved. It will also enable you to request LAANC, since the FAA requires us to collect some information about the pilot such as name and phone number before submitting the request. Hope this helps and happy to help in any way I can!
