Backup remote for Mavic Pro 2

Bought a Mavic 2 with Smart Remote before my trip to Arizona having big plans for this trip. The long story short, on day #2 of my trip the Smart Controller died and as a result I was not able to fly my drone for the rest of my trip. When back home I got a replacement from the dealer (thank you B&H!) but the trip was ruined. In August I’m going to France and thinking about a backup plan in case if new Smart Controller will decide to bail out of me. I would lime to have a second remote for backup. The Mavic 2 controller is way too expensive so I’m wondering if the original Mavic Pro remote will work for Mavic 2. Any thoughts about that?

It should be easy to find a slightly used M2 controller for sale by someone that crashed or lost their drone.

I agree I just purchased one for less than half of what DJI charges for a new one. It still had the plastic on it. I simply posted something asking who had one to sell. Lots of good prices from people who have crashed or got a SC.
