Battery firmware update?

Just opened my box, charged batteries one by one. But had seen only firmware update, not battery firmware update.

Do i need to update them manually using DJI Assistant?

With the mini the DJI app told me to update the firmware in the battery (had the combo pack so 3 batteries). IIRC with one it only asked after I had flown it.

the battery in the drone, when you first do the firmware update, will be included in the update if a battery update is part of that firmware update
when you try another battery if it needs updating it will tell you ,and then just follow the instructions
