Are there any restrictions associated with shipping DJI Intelligent Flight batteries US or International?

You need to specify they are batteries and believe certain restrictions apply, this does not apply to batteries contained within devices such as a cellphone etc.

I think they just charge extra or maybe even not just label them differently, so they don’t go onto an airplane and cause issues

In UK you cannot send Lipo batteries.
However if fitted and connected to the drone or radio etc then you can send the one battery but you cannot include extras as in a combo pack.
You must also inform carrier and they label parcel.
If discovered as i was warned once that next time the contents would be destroyed.
Many hundreds if not thousands are sent illegally so it is the chance you take.
