Hi folks, I have just bought my first case for my M2. I didn’t want to pay £110 for the DJI one, so I looked on amazon, but I also didn’t want a really cheapy one. I got this one, the Smatree SmaCase DH800M2. It’s fantastic. Really secure locking clips on the box, which is something I was worried about, foam inside is very sturdy and fits well, doesn’t shift around at all. The inserts are perfectly cut for the Mavic 2 and it’s accessories. Everything fits perfectly as there’s no extra room in the inserts but at same time you don’t have to push the foam to get things in. IP67 Rated but haven’t tested water resistance and stuff yet. Really really impressed. And best thing is. It only costs £57.99. Much much cheaper than DJI’s own case. Just thought I’d let everyone know as I’m really impressed and thought other people may be looking for cases but don’t want to shell out £110 for DJI one.

The DJI case isn't worth the money. The internal foam is hard and IMHO not of sufficient quality as the Smatree that I have owned for the MPP.

Looks similar to the one supplied with the Mavic 2 Enterprise.

I kind of did the same thing for my mp2 I didn't want to spend over $100 on a case so I bought one from Amazon I think it was $70. It was one of the smatree cases it's laid out a little differently than some of the others.IMG_20190127_085132010.jpgIMG_20190127_085144946.jpg

Here's one idea that worked out great for me. I took a pelican 1500 case I had and repurposed it. It's large enough to fit my Mavic pro, 4 batteries (I only have 3 at present so have misc. stuff in that battery slot), the controller, the dji sunshade, the original charger, a 3 way rapid charger, a 4 way charging hub, all cabling, extra sd cards, a usb sd card reader, a set of 4 filters, and assorted paperwork. The cases aren't cheap but I picked mine up at a gun show years ago for around half price. Pretty much covers it all. I also sprayed the pluck foam with a couple of coats of Plasti-dip to keep the foam intact. Works great so far and holds more than the cases I've seen on line for the Mavic.

Only trouble I have trying to find case for my MAVIC AIR and later this week for my new MAVIC 2 is space to fit the CRYSTALSKY monitor.

Must admit I’ve been having similar problems, I’ve got the M2p and the 7.85 inch Crystalsky monitor. What I would love is something similar to the bag that DJI give with the combo, but with the room for the monitor as well.
Hope you have success. Take care and catch you later. Peter

I got the same case and its brilliant. I need waterproof and tested it under pressure and it doesn’t leak. I bough mine in the usa for a lot less.

I have 3 of these same cases for different aircraft and I’ve never had a latch break. Maybe I’m lucky, but one of these cases travels with me almost every week on commercial airlines. All the rest of my gear is in Storm or Pelican cases.

Betchya those latches break within a few months.
Ask me how I know....

Its ABS plastic. I had mine out last year and travelled over 700,000 miles with it (yes 3/4 million). The clips are still solid. I tour with a band and we have ton of pelican cases. This stands side by side with them.
