Instead of spending weeks typing yourself to death trying to find a deal on a new Mavic 2, which you might not find because DJI fixes their prices, I would highly recommend buying a used one. Of course, you have to be careful that the bird has not been crashed unless the seller states that already, and that he/she is the rightful seller, but used deals are starting to appear here and on ebay as well as Craigslist.
You have a few ways to protect yourself from scammers, none of which are 100% if the seller is an experienced scammer/thief, but that is very rare.
Good luck and happy holidays!

- Buy a refurb or used drone from an authorized DJI reseller. Most Approved Vendors here are DJI Authorized, so you know what youre getting.
- If buying used from a person, make sure you are comfortable with the person.
- Verify the manufacturers warranty by contacting DJI before you buy it.
- Buy Refresh.
- Buy a State Farm drone policy.
- Test fly the drone, or bring someone with you who knows about them.
- Ask here on the forum about it BEFORE you buy it. Take pictures so that we can see what you're buying.
- Love everyone but don't trust anyone.
- Go with your gut feeling. Use common sense.
Good luck and happy holidays!
